Net Zero Health Systems

Launched in 2023 by AstraZeneca, promoted by Unicorn Factory Lisboa and Startup Lisboa, Net Zero Health Systems consists of an acceleration program for startups that develop projects focused on greater hospital energy efficiency, sustainable mobility in health, and digitalization and connected health, with the aim of making the health system more sustainable. 

The program was designed and implemented by SBI, which made an effort to bring greater value by exploiting its network of contacts in the innovation and health sector. From applications, through the bootcamp and acceleration phase, to Demo Day, SBI streamlined all the stages of this program, resulting in an impact on the participating startups mainly from the point of view of market access, know-how and the formulation of partnerships or pilots.

After an eight-week acceleration process, with training sessions on critical topics for project development, mentoring with experts, entities and representatives from leading national health institutions and support for validating their project on the market or accessing it, the selected projects are presented at a Demo Day and prizes of various kinds are awarded to the winner.
